Playoffs 2022: What is the format of the Major League playoffs and who will be the rival of the Los Angeles Dodgers?

The Major Leagues postseason begins on October 7 and 12 teams seek to reach the MLB World Series. This year, one more wild card slot was implemented for the National League and the American League.

The following are classified by the American League: Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Guardians of Cleveland, Blue Jays of Toronto, Rays of Tampa Bay and the Mariners of Seattle.

The other duel will be between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Phillies. Philadelphia. The franchise that wins this wild card will face the Atlanta Braves. Both series will be a maximum of three games for the first to win two challenges.

American League duels

The Houston Astros finished with a mark of 106-61 and the Yankees with a record of 99-63 so they are in the second round of the playoffs.

The first round of the matchups will be between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cleveland Guardians. The other matchup will be between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners.

Both series will be a maximum of three games for the first to win two challenges. The winner of the series between Tampa Bay and Cleveland will face the Yankees. And the winning franchise between the Blue Jays and the Mariners will face the Houston Astros.

The wild card series will start from Friday the 7th until Monday 10 October. Then on Wednesday 12 in October the Division Series will begin.
