André Jardine is self-critical for the elimination of San Luis and looks to the future with optimism

André Jardine Brazilian DT of Atlético San Luis stated this week that it is too early to draw conclusions about the early elimination of the team since they would be made solely based on the negative. He also admitted the irregularity of the campus as the main problem but looks to the future with optimism.

The Brazilian coach and Olympic champion in Tokyo 2020 arrived before many expectations with the team from San Luis , however the reality was that they did not pass the first round. There were many aspects that influenced and although Jardine did not list them, he did draw some conclusions.

Despite the scrolls, the Brazilian did not achieve his goals, in a broadcast of Fútbol Picante one of the moderators assured that not everyone can win in Mexico.

“This is not a good time to talk about evaluations, this is done with a cooler head and now we must take it easy because we would talk a lot about the negative, “said Jardine in statements reviewed by the Sol de San Luis.

“ We must admit that there were special situations in this tournament unlike in the past, the players did not arrive at their best, Sambueza and Dourado were injured, key pieces in our scheme. In short, part of a whole that happened to us”, said the gold medalist in Tokyo 2020.

The optimism of Jardine

The Brazilian DT assured that he is week he would meet with the board of directors of San Luis to plan the next season in which he admitted feeling optimistic and in which they will seek greater regularity, he highlighted the victories against Pumas and Toluca, teams that he considered to be complicated and important rivals.

“We have to look to the future, be self-critical and see what we can do for the next tournament, what reinforcements we need, etc”, pointed out the Brazilian.
