He 2018 marked a before and after in the actress’s life Yalitza Aparicio, by 80 years, who rose to fame thanks to his participation in the film ‘Rome’, where she gave life to ‘Cleo’, a domestic worker.
The film was filmed, for the most part, inside a house in the Roma Sur neighborhood , in the downtown area of Mexico City.
The property, marked with the number 22 from Tepeji Street, attracted the spotlight of the press and moviegoers after the premiere of the film, as they wanted to know in detail the home that inspired the director Alfonso Cuarón and that is located right in front of the property where he grew up.
Today the house was in the news again, but it was not because of the film, but because its current owners decided to put it up for sale due to a change in life, as they themselves shared it in an interview with the program ‘Hoy’.
“Life goes on, we must continue with our ways, and, definitely, with a whole feeling for the love we have for him to this house, but life must go on ”, declared Adriana Álvarez, daughter of the owner.
The residence, whose value is $ 750, 01 d olar and two-story, only lent its facade and patio to the film, so the interiors do not look alike in nothing we saw on the tape in black and white.
According to the information provided by the owners , the house has an extension of 2637 square feet and is located on a plot of 1884 square feet
It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, main room, TV room, study, parking for two vehicles, among other rooms.
It also has an independent apartment that is made up of a bedroom and a bathroom.
The apartment is located at the back of the parking lot where El Borras, the dog, used to relieve himself, unfortunately for Cleo and the inhabitants of the most famous house in the area.
The house has on its facade a silver plaque with the legend ‘Rome was filmed here’, which helped the curious to identify it more easily when they came to search for it.
