Yolanda Andrade remembered the difficult stage he experienced due to his addiction to alcohol and drugs, which he managed to overcome after entering three different rehabilitation clinics, one of them belonging to his great friend Julio César Chávez with whom he even shared addictions.
During an interview with Isabel Lascurain for her YouTube channel ‘Open the box of…’ the host Yoldanda Andrade recalled her experience in the world of addictions, a stage that ended when he discovered that it was already becoming a problem.
“I was very alcoholic, I drank two bottles of whiskey or vodka a day and also combined it with cocaine, which I loved”.

He even told Jose jose what was going on, but they never got to drink together; however, with whom he does have memories of the party days is with former boxer Julio César Chávez.
“I spoke with José José about that , it’s good that we never drink together because imagine. With Julio yes, it was three days locked in the bathroom with a bag of coke “, he commented.
He explained that it was after the confrontations of the Mexican in the ring when they met to drink alcohol, parties that came to last up to three days.
“He would finish a fight and it was the resounding success, the madness, the congratulations, the artists who came to greet him. I remember perfectly that Madonna went to greet him and Robert de Niro was there. We locked ourselves in the bathroom and stayed there for a long time, we woke up with a tape recorder
and we listened to Mijares, Uno entre mil. How I played it until the record was scratched , we talked like the drunks who repeat the same thing”, he added.
And he remembered that it was the same feeling that they both shared: “it was a sadness that maybe we had the two, but the only joy it gave us was because we were both locked up in a bathroom and with a recorder”.
He assured that another difficult time was during the time he hosted the Unicable program ‘Netas Divinas’ , from which he left to enter the rehabilitation clinic of the Mexican boxing legend of his own free will.
“Not anymore they gave us red wine on the show because I drank that of all the Netas Divinas and it was a problem because the call was at 7 in the morning and Joe had already drunk the bottle
. A bottle is four glasses and he said it is nothing. All suffering”, he added.
During the same interview, Yolanda Andrade talked about the day she tried to commit suicide with a gun, but fortunately the bullet did not come out , a situation that she remembers as one of the most difficult because her sister witnessed it.
“My sister saw me the moment she opened the door from the bathroom, and with the gun in my mouth, I had already pulled it out and said: ‘Oh, my God.’ It was the last thing I saw, the image of my sister and it was very hard, “she added to her testimony.
