“We know that a crisis like this can affect families who live from paycheck to paycheck for years, something like this can harm them for a long time. We cannot stand with our arms crossed. Now is the time to take collective action and do what we can to help, ”added Ocasio-Cortez.
The Houston Food Bank will use the donated money to provide 30 thousand packaged meals to Houston residents in the coming days.
