Naomi Osaka wins the final with clarity and is the queen of the Australian Open

The Japanese Naomi Osaka clearly beat Jennifer Brady , who debuted in the Grand Slam final, by 6-4 and 6-3 that served to lift his second title at the Australian Open .

Osaka, who will become number two in the WTA ranking , took her fourth ‘major’ crown after his US Open titles (2018 and 2020) and the Australian Open itself (2019).

“I couldn’t play my last Grand Slam with an audience, so seeing all these people in the stands means a lot to me”, commented after closing a final that lasted just an hour and a quarter.

Osaka extended his streak to twenty-one consecutive won matches which were the main reason for his dominance in the last two Grand Slam on hard surface: their titles at Flushing Meadows and Melbourne Park.

Brady couldn’t get revenge for his bitter loss to the same rival in the semifinals of the last US Open , when he fell in the third set, after becoming more erratic by making 29 unforced errors.
