TurboTax begins depositing millions of customers after bank account error

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently began issuing a second round of stimulus payments to eligible persons . Due to an error millions of payments were sent to the wrong accounts and it is possible that some have not received their stimulus payment.

The tax preparation company Turbo Tax reported that stimulus payments began to be deposited from January 8 for millions of customers who were affected by the IRS bug.

They warn that although they expect that the majority of these payments will be available from January 8 , the banks could delay some business days to process them.

Payment will be deposited in the same bank account in which customers received their refund of taxes of 2019 . Waiting customers will receive a email from TurboTax informing them of the deposit .
