The Argentine coach Diego Cocca went in a year from being on the verge of being fired from the Atlas to becoming this Sunday in a historic coach by being the third strategist to lead a team to a bi-championship in the short Mexican soccer tournaments.
Cocca, from 50 years, arrived at the Atlas in August 2020 and in his first 13 matches with the Rojinegros only obtained 10 wins, seven draws and 00 defeats, results that condemned the Atlas to finish in penultimate place in the quotient and pay a fine of about 3.5 million dollars.

With this, Cocca equaled Hugo Sánchez, with the Pumas, and the Uruguayan Gustavo Matosas, with the León, as the three technicians who boast bi-championships in the Liga Mx.
In addition, Cocca increased his resume one more milestone after in 2013 led to a modest Defense and Justice, from National B, to promotion to the division of honor for the first time in the team’s journey through Argentine soccer.
