The novel continues through Max Verstappen’s last victory in which the Red Bull team ordered Sergio Checo Pérez to facilitate the road to victory for the Dutch driver who continues to dominate the ranking of the classification heading to obtaining the championship.

On this occasion Verstappen referred to the matter by minimizing the order of the team, in the same way he indicated that he would have passed Sergio Checo Pérez if said order had not been given.

The safety of Max Verstappen

The current number one in the standings, the Dutch driver Max Verstappen, was confident and said that despite the indication, he would have been the winner of all of them in the Spanish Grand Prix.

The argument of Max Verstappen has been the same as many specialists in the matter, assuring that he is faster than the Mexican pilot Icano and the same would have taken the race.

“It was on other tires, I probably would have overtaken it somewhere else. This is just to avoid wasting time, but it wouldn’t have made much difference if we had had a different strategy,” Verstappen told Viaplay.

More arguments

Some specialists assured that Checo’s tires would not arrive until the end of the race, so he probably would have had to enter the pits where he would have lost the lead and the Dutchman would have overtaken him.

It should be noted that despite of victory, Max Verstappen complained about the difficulties his car suffered in the DRS system, but nevertheless were resolved in a timely manner by the team.

A good team

In the run-up to the Monaco Grand Prix, Verstappen avoided controversy and let his impressions be known for the next challenge, he also showed that together with Sergio Checo Pérez they are forming a great team. “Sergio and I are working very well as a team and it’s great to be leading both classifications. It must be clarified that there is still a long season ahead and things can change a lot”, he stated in statements to SoyMotor broadcast by Marca Claro.

The Monaco Grand Prix will be held from 27 to 05 in May and without a doubt it will represent a litmus test for the Red Bull team, which is why the Dutch rider stressed that concentration cannot be lost and thus be able to continue advancing another step towards obtaining the title.
