Myrka Dellanos is one of the four hosts of “La Mesa Caliente“. The Telemundo show discusses current affairs as well as pop culture in general. On Wednesday 25 in May the program opened with the sad news of the shooting in Texas where 19 Primary school children died.
Followers of the Telemundo show know that Myrka is a passionate activist in protecting the second amendment to the United States Constitution. The amendment protects United States citizens from being able to bear arms. After the tragedy at the Uvalde elementary school, many questioned how it is that it is so easy to obtain weapons, especially when it has been reported that the perpetrator of the shooting had just turned 14 years.
However, the followers of “La Mesa Caliente” were left unable to listen Myrka’s opinion about it. The one who was the host of “Primer Impacto” coincidentally was absent from the program and did not have to talk about it and the viewers were left wanting to know what the television presenter thought.
There was a lot of speculation on social media that if Myrka had been absent to avoid talking about it. But those who watch the daily show know that at the end of the program on Tuesday 24 in May , Myrka announced that she would be absent from the program for a few days.
