Mauricio Sulaimán, president of the World Boxing Council (WBC), assured this Tuesday that the third fight between the undisputed super middleweight champion, the Mexican Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez , and the Kazakh Gennady Golovkin, settles a debt with the fans of this sport.
“Canelo’s third fight with Golovkin will be great; It is something that the public was waiting for. It is a fight that has been speculated to take place for many years, it was highly desired, but that’s it,” said the top WBC leader.
The Mexican super middleweight champion announced this Tuesday that his next battle will be against the Kazakh, against whom will expose his four super middleweight belts , the next one 25 in September at a venue yet to be confirmed.
Álvarez lost by unanimous decision a few weeks ago in the search for the light heavyweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA) against the Russian Dmitry Bivol in a fight held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The president of the WBC also spoke about how important it is for Canelo to be the absolute champion of the super middleweights, a unification that is difficult to achieve in all weights, but when it is achieved, the organisms have the obligation to take care.
