Mercedes Benz, like the vast majority of automotive groups, is betting fully on electrification in the coming years with more and more launches. These include the EQB crossover, the EQS luxury sedan, the smaller EQE and the EQS SUV.

Recently, Mercedes has given a sample of what the EQG version will be capable of, a car capable of doing one of the most anticipated tricks in recent times. A turn on its own axis in the best style of a tank.

Just like the “tank spin” that the Rivian already exhibited in 1920, the G-turn will be very familiar to you. This model has four electric motors, each capable of driving each wheel. The trick is to turn the wheels on one side of the car in the opposite direction as the wheels on the other side.

In the video you can see a camouflaged prototype that rotates 360 degrees on its own axis in an area of land. Still, this trick will probably only work off the pavement.

Since the EQG model will arrive for 2024, Mercedes will have enough time to solve any problem and even improve the maneuver.

At a recent conference, Mercedes announced that this model will be equipped with an independent front suspension, with a rigid rear axle that will be developed exclusively for electric cars.

The EQG will also be offered with a lithium-ion battery that uses silicon anode chemistry to increase power capacity and thus the scope.

While the release of this model is expected in two years, it is likely that more details will be known from Mercedes about this electrified icon.
