The Atlantean was crowned champion of the Liga de Expansión MX after beating Atlético Morelia on penalties and had an emotional celebration at the Ángel de la Independencia, mythical meeting point in Mexico City. There the party of the “Iron Colts” continued, who dream of returning to Liga MX.
Dozens of fans, with chants and flags, celebrated the success of the Atlante in the Angel of Independence. The support was resounding. According to the Mediotiempo portal, about 300 fans were present in the place.
Mexico City was painted of azulgrana on a special day for a historic club that still does not meet all the requirements to achieve its certification and have the opportunity to return to Liga MX.
