Texas authorities are on the hunt for a yoga teacher accused of fatally shooting America’s leading gravel cyclist , for having a short love affair with her ex-boyfriend.

Kaitlin Armstrong, from 34 years, was last seen on 13 May, two days after the murder of Moriah Wilson, aged 25, who was found covered in of blood at a friend’s house in East Austin on 11 May.

An arrest warrant has been issued against the suspect, a yoga teacher, who follows a fugitive from justice and has deleted all her social media accounts.

The woman’s ex-boyfriend, Colin Strickland, who is also a professional cyclist, had a short romantic relationship with Wilson in October, when he and his girlfriend had taken time off.

Strickland and Armstrong got back together after the affair with Wilson, but his girlfriend , by that time, he not only found out about the one week fling in January.

The Austin American Statesman reported that the yoga teacher “became furious and shaking with anger,” according to an informant who spoke with authorities.

Armstrong allegedly told an informant that he wanted to kill Wilson and had recently acquired a gun or intended to, according to the affidavit obtained by Fox 7 Austin.

Strickland told police that he bought two 9mm firearms for himself and his girlfriend at the time.

The cyclist had traveled from California to Texas, where she was staying with a friend before a race in Hico, northeast of Waco.

Wilson was found dead from several shots from a 9mm pistol in a house located east of Austin the day before the race, according to the statement.

APD tested Armstrong’s gun and found it to be the same one used in the murder of the American cyclist, based on ballistics tests.

The night of 11 in May, the day after they arrived in Texas, Wilson and Strickland went swimming at Deep Eddy, a municipal pool in Austin. Then they went to dinner at Pool Burger. He walked her back to her friend’s apartment at 8: 30 at night.

Armstrong was seen driving a few minutes later, with the images captured on the Ring camera from a local neighbor. The woman did not return to the house that she shared with her boyfriend until 9: 20 in the evening.

On the other hand, Strickland issued a statement this Friday where he stated that his relationship with Wilson was “platonic and professional.”

“There is no way to adequately express the regret and torture I feel for my proximity to this horrible crime.” She added that she was fully cooperating with the police. “He greatly admired her and considered her a close friend,” she wrote.

Wilson was seen as a rising star in cycling. She had recently turned pro, she left her job at a bike company in California, and weeks before she had taken the first elite women’s lead position in the Life Time Grand Prix off-road series.
