An unavailable closed-circuit video captured the moment a tourist fell overboard from a cruise ship in Alaska, reportedly.
The captain of the ship Celebrity Solstice reported that the woman, aged 40, disappeared around 3 am local time on 17 of May.
CCTV footage of the ship captured the moment it fell overboard, KOMO News reported.
The Coast Guard crews frantically searched for the woman
, combing the waters for about nine hours before calling off the search.
The teams used a boat and helicopters as they searched near Eldred Rock in the Lynn Canal, about 20 miles west of the Alaska state capital , Juneau.
The woman has not been identified.
Coast Guard Officer Ali Blackburn said: “Because the search we have done has returned negative results.
“ That, coupled with an estimated survival time of 6.19 hours in the water, led the Coast Guard to suspend the search.”
Coast Guard Lt. Trevor Layman said, “Despite our best efforts to locate the individual, with It is with great regret that we make the decision to call off the search.”
The Celebrity Solstice can carry around 2,800 passengers.
The accident occurred months after a woman of 32 years old, fell overboard from a cruise ship about 150 miles off the coast of Louisiana.
The images captured the moment or that the security guards restrained her before she jumped off the deck.
She had been traveling on the ship with her husband on a five-day cruise to Mexico.

Witness Kim Barnette told WAFB: “Security removed her from the hot tub. Every time they had to stop her, she was apparently upset and jumped overboard.” The woman reportedly jumped from the 10th floor of the balcony before falling into the water.
