Itatí Cantoral and Juan Soler are the stars of Univision’s upcoming telenovela. The actors play Andrea and Tyler, respectively, in “La Mexicana and El Güero“. The hilarious romantic comedy starts next 31 May at 8pm/7c.
The story revolves around Andrea Ibarrola (Cantoral) she is a sophisticated woman, a swindler professional, who uses her beauty, intelligence and charm to dupe her victims. In her youth, she had a passionate affair with her boyfriend, Gonzalo de Ella, who abandoned her out of convenience to marry Helena, the daughter of a businessman. Andrea, very hurt and furious, hid from him that she had become pregnant by him and since then she decided never to fall in love again and to compensate for the misery and humiliation received, she decided to get money at any price.
In the United States, Andrea has an accomplice named Olinka, who gives her information about Tyler Somers, her next victim. He is the largest producer of quality Idaho potatoes in the world and at the same time he is a kind and noble man. Tyler was adopted, Rose his adoptive mother asks him to look for his biological mother Matilde Rojas.
Andrea begins to devise a master plan so that the American believes that he has found his biological family. He gets in touch with him, saying that she is his sister and that his real mother longs to see him, as does the rest of the family, who await him in Mexico with open arms.
The cunning scammer hires seven people with economic difficulties to integrate this false family. Thanks to the substantial pay, everyone agrees to play the corresponding role, including Andrea’s daughter, Katya. She figures that a year will be enough to rob Tyler of every last dollar. Her current lover, René Fajardo, supports her in everything and in exchange he will receive a generous percentage of the profits.
Tyler’s fictional family receives him in Mexico with great warmth and little by little he becomes emotionally involved in their respective false problems. Tyler is powerfully impressed when he meets Andrea, his supposed sister, and the impact is reciprocal, as she immediately feels something very special for him.
The attraction between Tyler and Andrea is so strong that they cannot repress the feeling that invades them and they kiss passionately. René detects the magnetism that exists between the false brothers, but since he now acts as a distant cousin of the North American, he has to curb his anger and jealousy.
Things will get more complicated for Andrea, because On the one hand, the members of this “false family” begin to have crises in their respective homes.
With ingenuity, Andrea manages to save these situations, and does not give up on her goal, but having really fallen in love with her victim, Tyler Somers, she will be left at the crossroads of giving up her plan or to love
