The last season of “The Ambassador’s Daughter” did not last long in primetime. Although Turkish soap operas have been very successful among Latino audiences in the United States, not all of them have worked. After airing most of the Turkish story on Univision, the latest phase of the telenovela was announced for UniMás starting May 2 at 7pm/6c.

However, less than two weeks on the air, UniMás decided to withdraw the production from its key time slot to send it to 11p.m/10c, a less competitive schedule. And it is that “La Hija del Embajador” competed with “La Casa de los Famosos” on Telemundo and “La Rosa de Guadalupe” on Univision.

This last season of the telenovela focuses in the character of Sancar (Engin Akyürek) and his daughter Melek after the character of Nare disappears. What actually happened is that the actress Neslihan Atagül had to leave the recordings of the series due to problems of Health. The writers resolved the story by making Nare’s character look like a selfish and bad mother, betraying the character’s psychology originally.

The plus for melodrama fans is that a new character has arrived to fill Sancar’s heart. Mavi, played by the talented Tuba Büyüküstün, entered the last part of the soap opera to the delight of fans of the series. Both actors had worked together before and it was a great success to bring them together again.

In its new nightly schedule, the followers of “La Hija del Embajador” will be able to continue enjoying the exciting story of Sancar and Mavi and see the outcome that awaits them.
