A woman recently went into labor on a Frontier Airlines flight and, with the help of a flight attendant, gave birth to a girl.

The plane was flying from Denver International Airport to Orlando International Airport, according to a statement from Frontier Airlines on Facebook. When the woman got in labor, a stewardess identified by the airline as Diana Giraldo guided her to the back of the plane and helped her give birth.

The flight was diverted to the Pensacola airport, where paramedics were waiting to help.

Frontier Airlines applauded the stewardess, and pilot Chris Nye, in charge of coordinating the diversion, said that Diana Giraldo went “beyond”.

“This was a job well done, and I was glad to see all working together to successfully deliver a newborn on a plane.” said Nye.

The mother gave her daughter as the middle name “Sky” (sky, in English), said Frontier Airlines.
