Mexican boxer Alejandra Ayala is in a coma after being knocked out in a world title fight

Alejandra “Fenix” Ayala is going through an extremely delicate moment, after the fight she had in Glasgow, Scotland, against the local boxer Hannah Rankin, since after receiving a brutal punishment and losing by TKO, she was transferred to a hospital, where she is currently in an induced coma.

The boxer from Mexico City was looking to snatch the WBA super welterweight title from the Scotswoman, but the result was not what she expected and Rankin gave her everything in the tenth round, until the referee stopped the fight and the nightmare began for the Mexican.

According to Fight Academy, the company promoting the fight, Ayala’s condition is stable, also reported that they have had contact with the boxer’s family who is still being treated in the city of Glasgow.

In the same statement, it is revealed that the Mexican was subjected to surgery for a hema subdural seizure, being induced into a coma to continue its evolution.

Alejandra Ayala, who lives in Tijuana, Mexico has 7 years as a professional boxerl, in which she has accumulated 14 victories and 6 defeats, counting the latter in which he endangered his physical integrity.
