Shooting at Tía Pancha's flea market leaves at least two dead; four people were shot in broad daylight this Sunday

HOUSTON – Authorities confirmed the death of at least two people after a shooting broke out shortly after noon this Sunday at the facilities of one of the largest fleas in Houston.

The incident occurred around 1 pm in one of the sectors of the flea Tía Pancha, located on Airline Street between Gulf Bank and Canino.

Sheriff Ed González confirmed the two fatalities and announced that two other people had been shot and taken to the hospital. No further information was given on the condition of the victims who were taken to hospital.

The other two victims died at the scene.

Thousands of people attend the Tia Pancha flea on weekends and on Sundays is when more people come to visit the different stalls and other attractions that include dance halls.

Said flea has been the site of shootings in the past and it is not the first time that people have been shot to death in its facilities.
