Haaland said goodbye to the Dortmund fans with a goal and several minutes of applause in front of the fans (Video)

Norwegian Erling Haaland said goodbye to Borussia Dortmund with a win and a goal against Hertha Berlin (2-1), who will have to play for promotion against a team from the Bundesliga 2 to continue in the highest category of German football.

In a festive day at the Signal Iduna Park, plagued by emotional farewells before the start of the clash, between them that of the Norwegian, Marko Rose’s team achieved an inconsequential victory. Finishes second in the standings, seven points behind the champion, Bayern Munich, and will play in the next edition of the Champions League.

It has been nothing but an honor to wear this shirt. At @BVB, I’ve spent memorable moments, met special people, not to mention a fanbase that has always been our extra man on the pitch. The Yellow Wall is truly incredible. I’ll never forget any of this! Thank you all! 🖤💛 pic.twitter.com/MegplT4y7B

Dortmund will be in the ‘Champions’ again, but without Haaland in their ranks. The Norwegian, after two and a half years, will become part of the Manchester City squad. However, he said goodbye with a goal to equalize the clash.

“It has been nothing but an honor to wear this shirt. At Borussia Dortmund I had memorable moments, met special people, not to mention a crowd that has always been our extra man on the pitch. The Yellow Wall is truly amazing. I will never forget any of this! Thank you all!” said the player on social networks after their last match.

The fans dedicated several minutes of applause to the Norwegian after his time in the Bundesliga. The journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Haaland had asked for this farewell with the Dortmund fans before leaving for Manchester City.
