After the expressions, former President Vicente Fox questioned: Are we already a narco-state?
While other opposition politicians, such as Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, national president of the PRI, pointed out that The Armed Forces “are not here to take care of gang members, they are here to serve, protect and defend the Nation “.
“ The degradation to which he is subjected today is unfortunate”, he wrote.
“Never before have soldiers, sailors and pilots suffered humiliation like the ones they face today. They give their lives for our country and for the citizens, the least that the Government of the Republic should do is give them their place and respect their dedication”, he added.
“ The López Obrador government does not fight, but takes care of criminals because they are its allies. And who protects the Society, Andrés Manuel?” said Jesús Zambrano, leader of another opposition party.
“No, criminals should NOT be taken care of, they must be brought to justice. Citizens demand security and an end to impunity. Enough of this violence against journalists, women and the army itself. There are more than 120 thousand intentional homicides. No more hugs for criminals!” said former presidential candidate Josefina Vázquez Mota.
