Pico Rivera authorities asked the public for help to identify a man who is suspected of trying to kidnap a girl while she was walking from school to home.

The attempted kidnapping occurred at 3: pm. this Tuesday in the block 9500 of Beverly Boulevard, in Pico Park.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD, the minor She was walking in the park after leaving her school when the subject took her by the arm and dragged her with him.At that moment, another person who was in the park intervened and the suspect escaped.

Subject is being described by authorities as a Hispanic male between 30 and 35 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, was unshaven and had “hair as disheveled as salt and pepper”, and that it was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with black pants and tattered shoes.
