According to the most recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Inflation rose 0.3% in April, a lower figure if we compare it with the jump it had last March of 1.2%.
Although year-on-year inflation in the United States fell slightly in April, continues to hold at record levels, standing at 8.3%, compared to the 8.5% recorded last March, the highest peak in 40 years.
In annual terms, the price of food shot up 9.4%, while gasoline, one of the most affected items, reached 43.6%, which has led specialists to focus on this category and in their behavior in the following weeks.
Several cities in the country suffered more strongly from the increase in prices in the last year, with Arizona, Georgia and Florida being the hardest hit states.

In this region of the country, cities such as Phoenix, Mesa and Scottsdale, had interannual inflation levels located in 11%, the highest on the list.

Cities such as Atlanta, Sandy Springs and Roswell experienced widespread price increases in the year of 10.8%.
3. Florida
Within the state of Florida, the cities of Fort Lauderdale, Miami and West Palm Beach had 9.6% of year-on-year inflation.
4. Maryland
In the state, located in the northeast of the country, Baltimore, Columbia and Towson had increases of 9.1 % in the last year, according to the report.
5. Washington
Like Maryland, Washington had inflation of 9.1%. The cities that reported these increases were Seattle, Tacoma and Bellevue.
6. Texas
Houston, The Woodlands and Sugar Land, in Texas, had inflation of 8.5%
7. Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Camden, in New Jersey; and Wilmington, in Delaware, had 8.4% year-on-year inflation.
8. Illinois
For its part, St. Louis, in Illinois, reported a price increase of 8.4%.
9. Michigan
Within Michigan, cities like Detroit, Warren and Dearborn had inflation of 8.3%.
10. California
To close the list, within the state of California, Los Angeles, Long Beach and Anaheim were the cities hardest hit by inflation, with 7.9%.
