David Bonola, from 44 years old, who was indicted for the murder of Orsolya Gaal on April 16, told detectives that his lover and married mother with two children, “was cheating on me” , according to the file of the Supreme Court of Queens.
“She gave me HIV,” Bonola allegedly told detectives
at the police station 112 on 20 of April. “She lied to me, she used me. She told me that she loved me. I couldn’t be with just one person”.
Bonola also stated that Gaal “received phone call from another guy” and “said he was going to see him”, without specifying when, according to court documents.

Bonola allegedly said he cleaned the house with towels and placed Gaal’s body in his son’s hockey duffel bag to throw her less than a mile from the house.
“In the past, she told me that she had sent a man to jail, so I sent her husband a message pretending to be that guy because I was scared,” Bonola allegedly stated.
“I took his laptop because I had sex videos on laptop. I threw her laptop in the Hudson River, where I used to visit her.”
He was arrested on April 21 and charged with murder and “virtually” gave police a confession to the crime, sources said.
In court last week, prosecutors said that Gaal let Bonola into his Tudor-style home before the two got into a fight and Bonola supposedly killed her.
Bonola is under protective custody without bond.
“This heinous murder left two teenage girls motherless and terrorized an entire community,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement.
Authorities recovered Gaal’s body from a sidewalk at Metropolitan Avenue and Forest Park in Queens on 16 April 2022.
“As alleged, this defendant brutally stabbed the victim more than 50 times before putting her body in a duffel bag, which he then dragged for several blocks in an attempt to dispose of the victim’s remains,” Katz said. “The defendant has now been indicted on very serious charges and faces a lengthy prison sentence if convicted,” he said.
