The Mexican authorities confirmed the death of Oliver Sánchez Coria, alias the Russian, a bloodthirsty drug trafficker , leader criminal of a gang called the Guerrerense Guard. According to the Mexican media, the Russian died during a surgery, after spending a week hospitalized . It should be remembered that he was injured during a shootout at a palenque in the town of Zihuatanejo where he had fun, but was surprised by a armed command of a rival group.

What happened in Zihuatanejo?
The gunmen who were going for the Ruso opened fire on the public attending a clandestine cockfight, as part of a palenque in which there was also jaripeo. The gunmen shot seven people, two of whom died instantly; five more were injured and taken to different state clinics. Among the injured was the narco, who spent a week in intensive care, but the doctors could do little.
After the shooting, elements of the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the state and municipal police cordoned off the area and reinforced security; however, they failed to stop the attackers. The State Attorney General’s Office took several days to reveal information about this case, it did not even mention the fact that the palenque was clandestine and even so it was carried out in a big way, with shows and alcohol sales.
