Dmitry Bivol silence the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Russian fighter prevailed on the cards by unanimous decision over Saúl Álvarez. 80-113 was the decision of the judges in a fight that the champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), seemed to have it in his pocket since the last rounds . The Russian boxer defended his WBA light heavyweight belt, but this was no easy task. Dmitry Bivol had to withstand the powerful fists of Saúl Álvarez and one of his arms witnessed the strength of the Guadalajaran’s attacks.
“ Canelo hits very hard, I think everyone saw it, every time he attacked It was very hard ”, revealed the Russian fighter in an interview with FightHub in which he showed how the recovery of his left arm is progressing.
The keys to Bivol’s victory
Dmitry Bivol attributes his victory to the strategic issue and focus he had on the ring. The Russian put aside the physical aspects that could have given him an advantage over the Mexican and attributed his victory to the execution of his plan in the ring.
“I think my size didn’t make a big difference, I think I just had a better plan (…) I feel like I was in control of the fight from the beginning. I studied his punches well, when you have him under control you can go forward and press like I did ”, he explained.

Canelo got tired
