Hook to “Canelo”: Gennady Golovkin congratulated Dmitry Bivol for defeating Saúl Álvarez

The second defeat in the professional career of Canelo Álvarez caused an echo throughout the world and Gennady Golovkin, the boxer’s arch-rival Jalisco, was no exception, since he sent a congratulatory message to Dmitry Bivol, the WBA champion, who defeated the Mexican.

“Congratulations on your victory Bivol! That was solid. Keep it up!”, the Kazakh boxer, who currently holds the IBF and WBA middleweight belts, wrote on Twitter.

Congratulations on your win @bivol_d! That was solid. Keep it up!

It is worth remembering that there is a big fight between Golovkin and Canelo, since he is the only fighter who he has defeated him in his career and he did it with a lot of controversy in between.

Both boxers have faced each other twice, with a result of a win for the Mexican and a draw, so that it was planned that they would face each other a third time in September of this year, but the idea was for both to win their first match of the 550 so that the closing of the trilogy was extremely attractive and GGG complied by beating Ryota Murata, but Canelo failed against Dmitry Bivol, so the performance of the show is up in the air.

After this result, it could be that Canelo’s next fight will not be against Golovkin, but a rematch against Bivol, something that the Mexican already requested and that the Russian said he was ready to accept, suggesting that it would be for all super middleweight titles.
