The company Tesla Inc sued an engineer accusing him of illegally transferring confidential data about his experience with supercomputer technology to his laptop. The accusation assures that the now ex-employee of the company delivered a fictitious laptop for inspection instead of Tesla’s.

The fact is that the giant of the manufacture of electric cars is developing an electric supercomputer to be able to process large amounts of data. This supercomputer would be called the Venture Dojo and would handle data like video from Tesla cars to create self-driving software.

Alexander Yatskov was the engineer Tesla hired in January to take care of the thermal part of the computer and design methods of cooling the device.

According to the company, Yatskov admitted to having downloaded confidential data from his Tesla devices to His private laptops once confronted him. Then the engineer refused in days past to return the data.

Then he was contacted by phone and denied what he was immediately blamed.

This is a case about the unlawful retention of trade and technical secrets by a worker who, in his brief time at Tesla, has already shown that he is capable of lying and then lied again by offering a ‘dummy’ device to try to cover their tracks

Tesla is currently seeking exemplary compensatory damages along with an order preventing Yatskov from divulging the supercomputer’s secrets. He further requests that all proprietary information be returned to him.
