They accuse in New York a 14-year-old who raped a woman in front of her 4-year-old daughter

Last 19 April, a masked teenager and his accomplice broke into a house in Mastic Beach, Suffolk County, New York, committing a sexual assault against a woman who was at home with her 4-year-old little girl.

Described as “shocking and extremely disturbing” events, the Suffolk County District Attorney charged a teenager with 14 years of raping a mother while her daughter was in the room.

According to the story official, the mother, of 23 She was inside a locked room with her daughter when she heard a noise and came out because she thought it was her husband. Then, the defendant demanded cash, while the other suspect searched the house in search of objects to steal.

However, from one moment to another, “ when he was left alone in the room with the victim and her daughter, the defendant, who was armed with a knife, began to rape the victim in front of his minor” , reported the prosecutor.

“Apart from the extreme violence of the criminal activity, what makes this case so shocking is the age of the defendant to commit such ruthless and violent crimes”, he indicated.

After the events, The woman was treated at a nearby hospital where stitches were taken and DNA evidence was collected.

Two days later the minor was arrested on charges unrelated to the case, but admitted having robbed the woman’s house, although he denied having raped her.

The DNA test linked him to the rape and the case was brought before a grand jury, which charged him with juvenile delinquency for rape, criminal sexual act, assault, robbery, and endangering the welfare of a child, which were officially read to him by a Suffolk County juvenile court judge .
