What score do Pumas and Seattle Sounders need in the second leg to win the Concachampions and go to the Club World Cup?

After the 2-2 draw in the first leg in Mexico, Pumas de la UNAM and Seattle Sounders suspended the series that will define the champion of the Concacaf Champions League, but what is the tiebreaker and what score do the teams need to be crowned in the second leg? Here we tell you.

Unlike the previous instances, in which the away goal was the first tiebreaker, Concacaf decided that in the final it will no longer be valid, so that there will necessarily have to be a tiebreaker, same as in case of not showing up in regular time, will force the times extra. If the score remains even after these 30 additional minutes, the series will have to be decided on penalties.

It is for this reason that both Pumas and Seattle Sounders only need one goal to be crowned, as long as the rival does not score one. In case of conceding a goal, they will have to score another one and so on. The one who wins the overall score will be the champion.

This decision, which was made before the tournament began, benefits Pumas since the two goals against they scored at the University Olympic Stadium would have complicated them the comeback, because with a little more from Seattle, the cats would have been forced to score 4 goals.

The duel that will also define the Concacaf representative in the Club World Cup will take place this Wednesday, May 4 at 10 pm ET / 7 pm PT. You can follow the transmission through TUDN.
