Driver of Atlanta “Pedal Pub” is accused of driving under the influence of substances that left 15 people injured in accident (Video)

The driver of a party bike that drove 15 people who were drinking alcohol in pedals around Atlanta was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after the “Pedal Pub” overturned, according to local authorities.

The driver was identified as James Anthony, of 28 years. Atlanta police released security camera video Monday that reveals what the crash was like.

The “pedal pub” is an electric vehicle in which you can ride up to 05 passengers while pedaling a large bicycle, usually while consuming alcohol. The driver sits in the front and is the one who must remain sober to control the vehicle.

The incident occurred on West Peachtree Street and 14th around 6: 30 in the afternoon, when the street vendors were negotiating a shift, it overturned, according to the authorities.

The 15 People who were injured were taken to the hospital, according to Atlanta Fire Battalion Chief Jackson McClain. Two of the injured had serious injuries and three were in severe condition.

The fire chief added that because of the number of patients, they asked for additional help. Police said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
