The Met Gala is the most important fashion event in the United States and in this 2022 is held again on the first Monday of the month of May, after the event in 2021, was in September due to the COVID-pandemic 19.

This gala is organized by Vogue magazine and takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the goal is to raise funds for the museum’s Costume Institute.

This year, the theme of the gala will be “Gilded Glamour” (Golden Glamour) which wants to pay homage to the last decades of the 19th century and how social changes made the upper classes begin to dress in more ornate, exaggerated and structured attire.

This theme will also be the one for the fashion exhibition that will be at the MET from May 7th 2022, until September 5 of this year.

This year’s hosts will be actors Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and director/composer Lin-Manuel Miranda. Finally, as always, Anna Wintour, the editor of Vogue magazine.

The red carpet of the event will start this May 2 at 6: 00 pm ET, that is at 5: 00 pm in Mexico. This will be broadcast on channel E! of paid television, at the time the event begins. Additionally, the event can be seen in the accounts of social networks of Vogue.

However, this s will be the only part of the event that we will be able to see, since the rest of it is totally private, so much so that it will be Ask attendees not to use their cell phones.

This year stars like Adele, the Kardashian family and Billie Eilish are expected parade down the red carpet of the MET Gala, although the guest list is secret from the public and the press.
