David Robert Joseph Beckham was born on May 2, 1975 in the Leytonstone area of London, England, son of David Edward Alan Beckham and Sandra Georgina. His father worked as an appliance repairman, while his mother was a hairdresser. Beckham grew up with his two sisters.
He tried out for various clubs such as Norwich City and Leyton Orient before attending the school of excellence at Tottenham Hotspur football club. He also played for the Brimsdown Rovers team and excelled during his spell there. However, his life really changed when he was accepted into the Manchester United Youth Training Program at 1991.
Became an integral part of Manchester United in the mid to late 1990s 1990 who dominated English football and in 1999 helped the team win ‘the treble’ (The Premier League, the FA CUP and the UEFA Champions League).
Beckham became one of the most outstanding midfielders in the world during that time and during an eight-year period at Manchester United senior, he scored goals in 262 games and won 6 Premier League medals.
Became the captain of the England national team in 2000 and scored the final equalizer in a World Cup qualifier against Greece to send England to the main tournament. He scored the winning penalty in the match against Argentina in the World Cup played in Japan and South Korea, but England was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
In 2003, Beckham became a member of the ‘Galacticos’ at Real Madrid when he teamed up with some of the best players in the world like Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and Roberto Carlos to form a legendary team. He played for Real Madrid for four years and scored 13 goals
In 2007, David Beckham moved to Los Angeles-based Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy and played for the team for five seasons.
Beckham at 2013 signed for the French Paris Saint-Germain. It was a five-month contract and all of his salary went to charity. He retired from professional soccer at the end of that season.
The following year, purchased an MLS expansion team for 25 millions of dollars.
In addition to his professional soccer career, he has known how to dedicate himself and build a beautiful family, which is why his wife Victoria dedicated a post to her on her Instagram account.
