The Mexican Pato O'Ward touches the glory in Alabama and keeps his first victory of the season in IndyCar

The Mexican Pato O’Ward (Arrow McLaren) took his first victory of the season in IndyCar this Sunday at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

“I am very happy with the dialogues that we have had within the team and we are positive for the future. I was tired of being tenth or eleventh. Now we can fight for victories again, ”he said in statements to the race’s television signal.

The American pilot considered the “strategy of pit stops” and was happy to have taken advantage of a “good opportunity” to win on “a very fast circuit” like Alabama.

With his first victory of the course, O’Ward is in fifth place overall, thirty points behind the Spaniard Álex Palou.
