If anyone still believed that the interest in affordable sports cars had subsided, then they have not heard what happened to the new Toyota UK GR90. The assignment of this car was sold out in solo 80 minutes.
The surprising thing is that perhaps some think that it was only about those that are planned to be released on the market in the coming months . But the reality is that in less than two hours the inventory for the next two years was sold out.
The car is scheduled to be manufactured in that period of time due to changes in safety regulations that will change precisely for 2024.
Toyota has assured that it still does not intend to increase the allocation despite the fact that the demand for this model has strengthened in all the markets in which it entered. Still, those who want this car can be added to a waiting list in case they change their mind.
The price of GR86 was released just a few months ago, and all models came in a single high spec that hovered around the value of the $ 18,675 dollars for the six-speed manual version and $28,800 dollars for the automatic.
This price places it up to $ 1, 03 dollars less than the basic GR Yaris, being thus a new entry point to Toyota’s GR range in the process.
The standard equipment of this car includes a wheel design of 18 inches wrapped in rubber Michelin PS4, as well as half-leather interior trim, an 8-inch infotainment system including smartphone mirror, climate control, and adaptive LED headlights.
Despite looking brand new, this car is a substantial upgrade from the GT86 from 10 years. Drastically changing this key part of the structure would create prohibitive costs and compromises that Toyota could not ignore.
