The French president, Emmanuel Macron, assured this Saturday in a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zelensky, who will follow the reinforcement of military aid destined for the Ukrainian resistance in the face of the Russian invasion, reported the Elysee.
In the first conversation between the two leaders, since Macron was re-elected for five more years last Sunday, the French presidency added that the French president has “the firm intention” in this second term to “restore the sovereignty and territorial integrity” of Ukraine, in coordination with France’s European partners and allies.
“President Zelensky thanked France for the shipment of large-scale military equipment that contributes to the Ukrainian resistance . The President of the Republic has indicated that this support will continue to be strengthened, just like that of humanitarian aid”, revealed Elíseo, which did not specify what weapons are involved.
Likewise, Macron expressed to Zelensky his “great concern” about the Russian bombing of Ukrainian cities and criticized the attack on kyiv, during the visit of the UN Secretary General and the Bulgarian Prime Minister. EFE
