Marcelo Flores continues to give English football talk . The player of 18 years old scored again another goal with Arsenal sub-23 in Premier League 2. The “Chelo” converted the goal that served his club to equalize 1-1 against Leeds United.

The minute ticked by 33 of the match when “Chelo” managed to take advantage of a clearance by the rival goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel. Flores was on his way to find the ball and defined first with his right leg with amazing calm.

With this last goal, the Aztec gets his tanto number from the season: 6 in the Premier League sub-18, 4 in Premier League 2 and 1 goal in the EFL Tropy. The young striker has also conceded 3 assists in the campaign. In this sense, Marcelo Flores wins more and more opportunities in English football. In fact, the youth has already had the record of being in a call with the Arsenal first team.

Will Marcelo Flores play for Mexico or Canada?

The “Chelo” was criticized in recent days after issuing some controversial statements. The Arsenal player stated that would represent Mexico in case they call him to play the World Cup in Qatar 2022. But what some saw as blackmail was that the footballer had not yet closed the doors to Canada.

“Canada could also offer it to me, but Mexico, if they call me to the World Cup I think so, that’s where I want to be (…) It doesn’t tell me much to decide where I want, right now I don’t know, and I’m preparing myself for when I have to make my decision”, expressed the soccer player before his friendly match with The Tri.
