The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, Trevor Bauer received a harsh sanction, which he could see as his career in the Major League Baseball goes to waste with a penalty of 135 games (equivalent to two seasons) for violating Major League Baseball (MLB) regulations , based on the accusations of sexual assault against a woman made against him.
The MLB commissioner, Rob Manfred, announced that after After an extensive investigation by the Department of Investigations, it was determined that Bauer violated the Joint Policy on Domestic Rape, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse, so he will be inactive for two seasons in which he will not have pay.
The information was supplied through a brief statement in which it is emphasized that the commissioner Manfred will not issue any more statements at this time, this according to the terms of the policy.
The sanction starts this Friday in April and would conclude in 2024, although he would miss part of the training sessions that season with the Dodgers.
Bauer’s contract ends at the end of 2023, so reactions are expected soon from both the player and the Los Angeles team.

Likewise, he announced that he is appealing the sanction: “My representatives and I respect the confidentiality of the proceedings.”
In the past, the pitcher filed a formal lawsuit against the woman who accuses him of sexual assault and caused him to miss much of the season 2021.
In recent days, Bauer filed another lawsuit against this woman, less than three months after prosecutors decided not to file criminal charges against the athlete.
