Oryx, a specialized weapons website has been documenting equipment losses in Ukraine and estimates that Russia has lost 80 tanks, which have been destroyed, damaged or abandoned. Part of the loss of these heavy vehicles is due to their poor design q which makes them highly susceptible to catching fire and exploding.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began last 24 of February, throughout the images that have been shared worldwide you can see the hundreds of Russian tanks that have been abandoned in different Ukrainian cities, where you can see that they are completely destroyed.

Much of the demolition of Russian tanks is due to the weapons that the Ukrainian army received from the US and Great Britain as the Javelins drones and Switchblade kamikaze drones, which have eliminated most of them.

CNN reported that experience Those in military weapons already knew of a design flaw that these Russian tanks had and which they call the “surprise effect”.

These store the ammunition in the turret, where the two crew members of the military vehicle are located, this being one of the reasons why with the slightest intention they practically explode.

According to reports published by Newsweek this investigation was already known to the Russians because they had already suffered these problems in the War of the Gulf in 2003 and in the 2003. Apparently they did nothing to modify them.

The Secretary of Defense of Great Britain, Ben Wallace agrees with Oryx regarding the destruction of these tanks in Ukraine with a total of 800 of the 2700 transferred by the Russian army to Ukraine.
