The Russian President Vladimir Putin could declare a new world war in a matter of days, warned the British Defense Secretary.

The warning comes after Russia claimed that the invasion of Ukraine is likely to end in a nuclear world war.

The United Kingdom Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace, warned that the Russian president could use the traditional Victory Day celebrations on May 9, which commemorate the end of World War II, to summon troops for a “war against the Nazis of the world”.

He also said that Russia’s occupation of Ukraine runs the risk of becoming “a kind of cancerous tumor” that must be removed.

The editor of the state broadcaster RT Margarita Simonyan noted d During a broadcast that the Russian president was “more likely” to launch a nuclear attack than to lose the war.

Putin paraded his military might through Moscow and St. Petersburg in a rehearsal for Victory Day.

Chilling images show the might of the Russian army rolling through the cities, with tanks and nuclear missile launchers.

Viewers took selfies with the military vehicles and troops, even as thousands of his soldiers died and hundreds of his tanks and planes exploded in the Ukraine.

Wallace told Nick Ferrari of LBC radio: “I would not be surprised if he will probably declare on May 1 that ‘we are now at war with the Nazis of the world and we need to mobilize the Russian people en masse’.

“Putin, who has failed in almost all objectives, can try to consolidate what you have.”

“We have to help the Ukrainians maintain momentum by pushing them back.”

Wallace also said that the UK would continue to supply arms to the kyiv government and was looking to provide anti-ship missiles.

Western countries have been providing aid, weapons and equipment to the country, without actually sending troops or impose a no-fly zone.

Earlier this week, Moscow threatened to attack military targets in the UK and the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that attacks could be authorized against NATO member states.

“Do we understand correctly that , in order to disrupt the logistics of military supplies, can Russia attack military targets on the territory of NATO countries that supply weapons to the kyiv regime?”

“After all, this leads directly to deaths and shedding of blood on Ukrainian territory. As I understand it, Great Britain is one of those countries”.

Yesterday Moscow issued more threats against the West.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “The tendency to inject weapons, including heavy weapons, into Ukraine, are actions that threaten the security of the continent, cause instability.”

However, Wallace said he was “unperturbed” by Putin’s threats, adding that NATO forces “outnumber and outgun” Russia.

He told LBC Radio: “I don’t feel disturbed by that.

“Because we have strong Armed Forces and nuclear deterrent and we are part of a NATO partnership of 30 nations that outgun you, outnumber you, and potentially have all the capabilities at our disposal.

“I am not afraid of him. I think we should be very grateful in this country that we have a nuclear deterrent, I think that’s a very important part of their calculations. “There are many, as we know, who have wanted to get rid of him (Putin) over the years.
