Edson Puch is a memorable and talented winger who managed to earn the respect of Mexican soccer. The Chilean soccer player played in three Liga MX teams. Los Rayos del Necaxa was the club with which he had the best numbers during his stay in Mexico. However, the South American striker had to forcefully end his career . The aggressions in his country led Puch to make the decision to give up football.
“Throughout my career I had never experienced a situation like this. I am currently living, so it seems necessary to clarify certain aspects. Together with my partner we were attacked by a group of people, who entered our training place without any type of authorization, which was witnessed by my daughter Gianella, only 8 years old ”, Puch pointed out for through their social networks.
The South American soccer player played with Deportes Iquique, a club that travels through the First B of Chile (second division). But the veteran player left the club to take care of the “mental health” of his daughters.
“The rumors about my abandonment due to the results obtained lately are totally false, as is the smear about the dressing room being broken. For me, it is very unfortunate to end my career in this way, but for the mental health of my daughters who are the ones who really suffer from comments and slander that are totally false , I put an end to this“, he sentenced.
Deportes Iquique accepted the decision made by the Chilean soccer player. In addition, the second division team issued a statement in which rejected any act of aggression towards their players , which is why Puch decided to hang up his boots.
One star in Mexico
Edson Puch managed to establish very good numbers in Mexican soccer. The Chilean played for Necaxa, Querétaro and Pachuca. During his stay in Liga MX, the winger managed to participate in 48 games, period in which he managed to score 24 goals and distributed 9 assists. The Rayos del Necaxa was where the Chilean established the best marks where he scored a goal every two games.
