Bus with college baseball team on board overturned; fourteen people had to be transferred to hospitals in the Houston area

HOUSTON – Fourteen people on a bus are recovering at area hospitals after the vehicle overturned while returning from a Waller County baseball game.

Two had to be transferred by helicopter to hospitals after having suffered serious injuries for the spectacular accident this Wednesday night.

The authorities reported that members of the Spartans Postgrad Baseball Academy baseball team, which competes at the collegiate level, were traveling on the bus.

A total of 21 people were traveling on the bus, according to the Police of Waller.

One of those affected had to be removed from the bus because he was trapped.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred shortly before 10 pm over the road 290 and FM362. Very close to the Bucee’s gas station.

The team had played on Wednesday afternoon in Ranger (Texas).

According to the medical teams present at the scene of the accident, all the injured will recover.

The reason why the driver of the vehicle lost control and overturned has not been disclosed. The accident remains under investigation.
