What was I thinking? Ralf Rangnick commented that the best thing is for Manchester United to stay out of Europe and the fans fell on him

Manchester United’s season can be considered a failure taking into account the signings he made at the beginning of the season, with which he aspired to compete for the local league, but the reality is that they could be left out of Champions League positions, since it does not depend on themselves.

Faced with this situation, the team’s interim coach, Ralf Rangnick, gave some statements that surprised everyone and did not sit well with the fans of the ‘Red Devils’, as the German coach asserted that it could be an advantage not to go to the Champions League.

“Even if we win the four games it is not in our hands, what is in our hands is how we play, our level of performance. It is important that this season ends on the best possible note”, commented Rangnick.

“It could be an advantage not to go to the Champions League (more days of work and fewer games for Ten Hag), but that does not mean that we will give none of the remaining four games,” the Manchester United strategist continued.

These words were questioned by all the fans, who logically want to see their team in the most important club tournament in Europe and trust that, contrary to what Rangnick claims, the new coach will be able to convey his idea quickly and the positive results will begin to arrive sooner rather than later.

Manchester United will face next season with a new coach already confirmed (Ten Hag, who currently manages Ajax), while Rangnick will move to sports management.

The truth is that Cristiano Ronaldo’s team has four games to play before the end of the season and the outlook is not very encouraging, since even if they win all the games, they will have to wait for both Tottenham and Arsenal to stumble to dream of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
