The Secretariat of the Navy-Navy of Mexico ( Semar ) secured a submarine that allegedly belonged to drug traffickers of Sinaloa Cartel (CDS) or Cartel del Pacífico (CDP), located at about 200 miles nautical of the coasts of the states of Guerrero and Oaxaca south of Mexico .
He minisubmarine was detected off the coast of Mexico after a Mexican Navy aircraft flew over the area.

In recent months, the International Maritime Center for Analysis Against Drug Trafficking of the Colombian Navy together with others Armed Forces worldwide have made the detection of seven routes from South America to Mexico.
Of these routes, two leave from Buenaventura and Tumaco, from Colombia towards Costa Rica and El Salvador, one leaves from Esmeraldas, Ecuador towards Guatemala and Chiapas , in Mexico.
The fourth route goes from San Lorenzo , Ecuador to Oaxaca and Guerrero Mexico , while the fifth of Puerto Rico to the coasts of Michoacán and Warrior .
While the sixth equal to Port Rico heading to Jalisco territory of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel ( CJNG ) and Sinaloa , while the latter connects Ayampe , Ecuador with beaches in the state of Sinaloa, territory of the Sinaloa Cartel .
