If someone is respected and admired in the history of Mexican boxing, that is “The Great Champion” Julio César Chávez , that wherever you are and what you are doing always generates interest and becomes a trend.

Despite his retirement, he has always been attached to boxing, whether as a promoter, trainer or simply a public figure. On this occasion Chávez approached Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez’s camp to give him his support ahead of the big fight next Saturday, May 7.

The fight will take place on the weekend that commemorates the Battle of Puebla on May 5, a very special date for Mexican boxers.

The Grand Champion knows what that date means. Within the professional record that he left (150 victories) there are five victories on the respected date.
