Police had been looking for a man seen on surveillance video and this was a clue that ultimately brought Brandon home.

It was shortly after 1: 00 Monday pm when baby Brandon Cuéllar was reported missing.

His grandmother told the police that he was unloading groceries with the 3-month-old baby in the house.

Police say the baby was taken from the apartment by San José by a man who was seen walking home with a baby carrier.

The man entered a house in San José around 1 pm and left with the child. The police released a video clip showing the man walking down the sidewalk holding a baby carrier covered by a white blanket.

“The family does not recognize this suspect” , police said in a Twitter post.

That led to a massive manhunt for the baby involving the FBI.

Now, three suspects are in custody. Largely part thanks to the employee of a nursing home whose facilities are located across the street from the house where Brandon was found.

“One of my employees who works here got a little suspicious and saw something that was out of place,” said Chris Martinez, director of operations for the facility. Your employee did not want to be identified and did not want to talk to reporters.

What that person saw was a van, a Nissan Quest 2011 silver with distinctive rear window decal.

“(She) saw that something was a little out of place. She saw the vehicle, made a call to the San Jose Police Department,” said Martinez

. “Eventually, the San Jose Police Department showed up and they went right over and blocked the vehicle both from the front and from the back and they went to the house of the alleged suspect and at that point they entered, they invaded the house.”

Police say one of the three suspects in custody includes the man seen in that surveillance video. A woman who was with the child’s grandmother before he was kidnapped was also arrested.

Police say that initial investigation shows a link between the family and the suspects.

The investigation into what happened and how the baby spent the last few days 20 hours continues, according to the authorities.
