Powerball lottery jackpot jumps to $454 million

Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot jumped to an estimated $454 million dollars for Wednesday’s drawing 27 April after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Monday night. This jackpot has a cash value of $185.9 million.

While there was no grand prize winner in the drawing for the Powerball lottery, there are several winning tickets including a ticket sold in Texas that matched all five white balls and won $1 million dollars.

Another ticket sold in North Carolina matched all five white balls and doubled the prize from $1 million to $2 million, by including the Power Play feature for an additional $1, Powerball said in a statement.

A huge jackpot of Powerball was previously won in the drawing of the 14 February when a single ticket in Connecticut won a $ 60.3 million dollars.

Another big jackpot was won again before, this year, when two tickets, sold in California and Wisconsin, split a $600, 6 million dollars in the draw on January 5.

That jackpot was ranked as the seventh largest in l he history of the Powerball lottery.

To date, Powerball holds the world record for the largest lottery jackpot set in 2016. $1 Record Jackpot,586 billion was shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee.
