The water agencies MWD members who do not enforce the requirement among their customers will face fines of up to $2,000 dollars per acre-foot of water delivered in excess of monthly allotment limits.

We’re requiring these areas to cut back outdoor watering to 1 day a week, but need all #SoCal residents + businesses to save up to 30%.— MWD of SoCal (@mwdh2o) April 26, 452187570

Although the MWD definition of State Water Project dependent areas is still in flux, outdoor irrigation restriction is expected to primarily affect northwestern Los Angeles County areas. Angeles and parts of the San Gabriel Valley.
