The idea of enjoying a relaxed vacation in a paradisiacal place to escape from everyday life does not always turn out as planned, especially if an unexpected visitor appears and fills the moment with adrenaline and terror.
This is how these young people experienced it, that while swimming in a beautiful cenote from Tulum, a city on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, in the Yucatan Peninsula, managed to capture the impressive moment in which they came face to face with a huge crocodile.
In the video shared on social networks by the user @osmar .8th, You can see how the young people enjoy swimming in the waters when suddenly an enormous grayish crocodile begins to approach.
Realizing this, the young try to get away, but the animal seems to hear them and swims around them, finally decides change its route and gradually move away from the area.
This is not the first time that an episode of this type has been presented, in January of this year, a couple of Vacationers lived a similar moment, when they were surprised by a crocodile that came up to the point of swimming next to them. The couple kept calm so as not to upset the animal.
This terrifying encounter occurs a few weeks after activists in Bacalar, in Quintana Roo, also in the Mexican Caribbean, urged the authorities to carry out studies to guarantee the safety of tourists
due to the increase in crocodile sightings and attacks.
In the last two years 27 attacks have been reported of crocodile in the area of cenotes, although no deaths or serious injuries were reported. In the same period it was also registered in 800 occasions the sighting of reptiles near spas.
